Fliehende Stürme are THE German Wavepunk act! Born out of the ashes of CHAOS Z in the mid 80s, the band continues in the tradition of hardcorepunk, but enriches this foundation of sound with more electronic elements, such as Drum machines and Synthesizers. Over all these years, the band has maintained a very strong following, both in the German Wave and Punk-scene and have always followed their very own, very personal musical path, uninfluenced by new trends, waves and fashion(s). On their new album Neun Leben (Nine Lives), the project is continuing to search for poetic beauty in their lyrics and the sound. They succeed to create – out of their innermost dissonances – a fascinating harmony of sound and feelings!
An album that leaves nothing to be desired – sometimes uncompromising harsh, then sheer dark and melancholic and always sadly beautiful!
Released Early July 2016 by Alice In.
