For more than 40 years, INDOCHINE continue to be an incredible phenomenon in France: Formed in 1981 by Nicola Sirkis and Dominique Nicolas in Paris (soon joined by Dimitri Bodianski and Sirkis' twin brother, Stéphane Sirkis), the band landed a first MASSIVE hit with the 6-tracks mini-album 'L'Aventurier' (1982), that established the young band at the zenith of France's New Wave/Electropop scene! All of their following albums 'Le Péril Jaune', '3', 'Au Zenith (Live in Paris)' and '7000 Danses' went multiple Platinum in their home country, and the band played the largest stadiums in France. They never managed to get that well known outside France, mostly due to fact that they were singing exclusively in French – with one exception: They toured several times through South America, and especially in Perù they became superstars.
This Live Album captures one of their concerts from the 1984 tour, that turned out to be a triumph for the 4 young musicians. It features almost all tracks from their debut-Mini Album and the album ‘Le Péril Jaune’ (1983).
Their predominantly electronic and extremely melodious wave/pop songs perfectly captured the spirit of the 1980s, and the sales figures of the still young band soon surpassed those of international bands such as Depeche Mode and others in their home country.
Released December 2025 on Instants Permanents.
