The most successful album of MONO INC. „Welcome to Hell“ delivered a 2nd CD to the fans, on which the songs of the got reinterpreted in a classical way, with piano and a few strings in a cozy and intimate manner. The Symphonic-Tour was planned to capture exactly this atmosphere – small, intimate circles, in which the Monomaniacs could be so close to their band.
But singer and mastermind Martin Engler noticed in the studio, that the song „Risk it All“ actually sounds more full with two violins instead of just one and a viola would fit as well... A second cello, too, hasn't hurt anyone. Maybe Lady Katha Mia could add some drums to it? Done! As a consequence „Risk it All“ was re-released in the new style and the plan for the tour was changed to fit the new concept. Five stygian string players and a mystical pianist got added to the band and the program was changed to a classical, thoughtful first half and a second half filled with power, that wouldn't let anybody actually sit in the mostly seated venues. There will be songs of the new album, the biggest hits and emotional rarities, that have never before been played in a live-show of MONO INC.
And then the tour came. Sold out. The whole tour. And after just the first few concerts the atmosphere and emotions were so overwhelming, that the thoughts began circling and an idea grew to capture this experience in picture and sound. Said and done! Spontaneously it was decided to record the concert in Leipzig.
Be prepared to savor the whole scope that is MONO INC. Symphonic Live, to relive the live experience again and again and to wallow in the symphonic harmony between MONO INC. and orchestra!
