Whether you love Eldritch or you hate him, it"s impossible to deny the profound influence that The Sisters of Mercy had on the goth-rock genre (and many other alternative formats, though not to the same degree). If you needed to explain goth rock to someone by playing just one band, it would surely be The Sisters.
As of the time of this reissue, this is the most recent Sisters of Mercy album...originally released in 1990. A bit more rock oriented, angrier, and more political. This new version of Vision Thing released early November, 2006 is completely remastered, packaged in a nice digipack, features updated liner notes, and most importantly, contains bonus tracks, including the excellent and unusually upbeat B-side, "You Could Be The One."
