Slow Danse with the Dead (formerly recognized as The Endless) originated as a solo endeavor, spearheaded by Johnny M. in 2017, originating from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Over the years, Slow Danse with the Dead has garnered an expanding audience, earning the epithet of "Miserygoth" for its distinctive fusion of droning vocals and poignant lyrics, underscored by haunting synthesizers, drum machines, and guitar compositions.
In an insightful interview conducted on August 11, 2020 by Nikolas Vitus Lagartija, Slow Danse with the Dead was characterized as a compelling blend of somber baritone vocals, evocative melodies, and elegantly minimalist arrangements dominated by synths, accented by carefully crafted guitar motifs, encapsulating what Johnny described as the essence of the undead's resurgence.
Esteemed figures within the scene have swiftly recognized the mesmerizing mournfulness of Slow Danse with the Dead, with tracks receiving notable airplay on platforms such as Highway 7 and Frontiere Rock, featured on White Light//White Heat, and visually interpreted by George Chlioumis, among others.
The year 2023 marked Slow Danse with the Dead's inaugural live performance, marked by the addition of new members, bassist Mal Toxisk and guitarist Aaron Hernandez, expanding the project's sonic horizon.
Presently, Slow Danse with the Dead is fervently engaged in crafting new compositions and poised to unveil forthcoming material to its eager audience.
