God's Own Medicine returns with a brand new album, that penetrates different genres of dark, atmospheric dark wave, shoegaze and even ambient and art rock. While recording this album, project mastermind Andy got support from his artist friends. This is why the record features original vocal duos, the sound of saxophone or the oriental baglama lute. “AFAR” takes the listener to atmospheric and somewhat dark sound of the 80/90s, when music was dominated by brilliant melodies, nostalgia and exceptionality. When music was not an addition but a soundtrack to life!
God’s Own Medicine is one-man project by Andrzej Turaj from Poland. 18 years ago he enthralled synth-pop fans with his debut album “Retro”, released by the legendary German label Hypnobeat. His next records confirmed how easy it is for him to move within a broad genre of dark wave, although synthesizers were replaced by guitars and dance loops made room for motoric rhythms. “Drachma”, released in 2014, caught the attention of post-punk and indie rock fans with 10 tracks benefiting from the best traditions of classic bands of the genres from the 80s and 90s.
Released Mid February 2018 by Alchera Vision.
