Limited Edition of 500 copies on RED transparent Vinyl with Black Streaks. All new Album by one of the most gifted Goth/Post-Punk acts of the USA.
Rising from the inferno of heartbreak with a determination towards gentility, humility, graciousness and kindness, Rosegarden Funeral Party takes influence from life’s tragedies and spins chaos into beauty. Leah Lane fronts the band with a voice like that of the lovechild between Morrissey and Siouxsie Sioux and her guitar playing has been compared to that of Daniel Ash. With bass playing that takes obvious inspiration from Peter Hook. With synths trapped in the loving arms of the 1980’s, rhythmic percussion and drums inspired by dark dance floors, Rosegarden Funeral Party prove to be the second-coming of traditional goth.
A review from ‘Idieyoudie.com’:
“The Dallas quartet’s sound has always been big and bold, striking a balance between trad-rock, glam and goth sounds, and put over the top by vocalist Leah Lane’s tremendous voice. ‘In the Wake of Fire’ shows them adjusting their approach slightly, with their penchant for strong hooks and choruses now supported by additional synth filigree and arrangements that take on a regal, archly dramatic posture, an effect that’s as striking as it is complimentary. The songs are bigger, the sound is bigger and the performances are bigger than ever before. It pays off in terms of impact, with enough substance in the songwriting to support the outsized delivery. In this case Rosegarden Funeral Party have managed to make bigger = better”
