With Synesthesia, internationally acclaimed vocalist and composer Azam Ali delivers her most ambitious solo work to date. Known for her otherworldly voice and fusion of mysticism with electronica, Ali has crafted an album that is cinematic, intimate, and transformative. The title comes from the sensory phenomenon in which sound, color, and texture overlap into a single immersive perception--an experience that defines Ali's creative world. Across eleven tracks, she blends ethereal vocals, lush electronic production, and ancestral echoes into music that feels timeless yet daringly modern. Two standout covers highlight Ali's interpretive brilliance: Tim Buckley's Song to the Siren, reimagined as a moody meditation on longing, and Natalie Merchant's This House Is on Fire, transformed with propulsive rhythms and Middle Eastern flourishes. Synesthesia is Ali's sixth solo album and second all-English release, following her acclaimed Phantoms (2019).
