Details:
De/Vision seem keen to prove that they are adept at not only great synthpop, but other electronic music as well, and Subkutan makes a great argument for their case. Of course there are great synthpop tracks to be found on the album, but a few cuts show some definite influence from the more appealing and innovative aspects of electroclash (while leaving behind the formulaic cliches). Fans of De/Vision"s collaborations with Green Court will also appreciate a few of the tracks that have been lightlytouched by the hand of trance. Even fans of the electro-pop ballad will find something here to please them. There are sufficient singles for DJs to make this album a big club hit, but the band hasn"t tried to pack an album full of 12 dancefloor packers. Instead, they"ve crafted a diverse, broad, impressive title that will appeal to many of their fans.Track List:Subtronic sampleThe End sampleStar-Crossed Lovers sampleAddict sampleObey Your Heart sampleNo Tomorrow sampleStill Unknown sampleIn Dir sampleE-Shock sampleMy Own Worst Enemy sampleNot Made Of Gold sampleSummer Sun sampleUS BONUS TRACK: Subtronic (Beat of Steel Mix) 5:57 sampleReleased February 7, 2006 on Dancing Ferret Discs
