A Projection is the name of the Swedish quintet with an unmistakable preference for post punk and new wave. Just in their 20s, the five of them seem to know the entire catalogue of Factory Records catalogue by heart. Dark and yet aggressive, driving and danceable, with a lot of emphasis on hooklines and choruses, for example on the first single "Young Days". The album was recorded in Stockholm in the middle of the Swedish winter. "The mood of this time of year also has an influence on the the mood of the album," says charismatic singer Isak Eriksson. "The vitamin D deficiency was probably even more beneficial for the music." In their home country, the band, which was founded in early 2013, quickly became a sensation in a very short time due to their intense live shows.
The ten songs on their debut album show that they have succeeded in transferring this intensity and force in the studio.
