Washington, DC-based post-punk darkwave outfit Social Station presents the eagerly expected second album on Young and Cold Records. It features 9 new original tracks and a remix by IAMTHESHADOW (Cold Transmission Records).
Social Station is Paul Todd and Jacob Sebastian, a father and son duo. With a passion for analog synths, hypnotic guitar, classic post-punk bass lines, and undeniable melancholic vocals, they have forged a dark yet catchy sound – with this new album they introduce another creative force: Natalie Simona (also featured on the album cover), Jacob’s sister.
“Extremely persuasive and highly melodic blend of darkwave, post-punk and dreampop, certainly influenced by the classic The Cure, Joy Division, early Bowie and The Smiths, while maintaining a thoroughly modern edge” – WhiteLight / WhiteHeat
“This is post-punk mounted on the wings of darkwave, carefully sired new wave romanticism with an almost erotic weave by modern electronics. Passionate on analog synths, hypnotic guitars, and undeniable melancholic vocals.” - Noise Journal
"A hauntingly accurate expression of a beautiful sadness... Expressing the harshness of life in a catchy and beautiful way. This is the music you dance to when you have a broken heart"
– Glory in Sound
