Another timeless and sophisticated The Rorschach Garden album! Its analog sound is not overly retro, but rather deeply melancholic yet resiliently positive. Determined but never aggressive, it's charming electronic pop with a distinct '80s electro-wave influence that defies easy categorization!
On this new album there’s also a special track (Mutant Sleeper) with lyrics by Anne Clark and based on a famous song (Sleeper in Metropolis) written by David Harrow for Anne Clark, including some additions of Babsi Teichner (of Monokrom fame, and wife of Münch), who also collaborated on the song ‘Strategies’!
Founded by Philipp Münch as a solo project in 1988, initially the project made its mark in the underground tape scene, creating a mix of ambient, industrial and avantgarde. This first phase of TRG ended in 1996. In 2001, TRG returned with a new musical direction, leaning towards synth-pop and minimal-electro. This revival was an immediate success, and surprisingly, the song 'State Protection' became a club hit and a cult favorite among minimal-electro enthusiasts.
Released November 2024 on Ant-Zen.
