Take Cover is a compilation and collaboration between the charismatic singer and band-leader Leah Lane and numerous musicians worldwide. While the digital version contained a total of 13 cover-versions, this limited Vinyl is a selection of the 8 best tracks – and believe me: These interpretations are really outstanding and on highest musical level, as already known from Rosegarden Funeral Party’s previous releases.
This Dallas/Texas-based act spared no effort to produce an individual video clip for each song, “Take Cover” is a series of in studio covers by Rosegarden Funeral Party. In each episode of this video series, the band covers a song or songs by an artist that has heavily influenced the band along side a featured guest musician(s). Check them out on Youtube! The Video for ‘Messages’ (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) is a real gem for ‘insiders’: Not only Rosegarden Funeral Party’s cover-version is simply great, also the Video is a kind of ‘Cover’, but of a different track: In fact the video was heavily inspired by OMD’s videoclip for “Enola Gay”. Amazing!
